We are a stunningly renovated terraced cottage. The contemporary open plan living area with comfy sofas, wood burner, cosy bedroom with SIMBA mattress and contemporary en-suite bathroom. From the moment you step through the door your relaxing break will begin. In the garden there is also private Hot Tub underneath a secluded pergola and access to the River Esk is via the back garden.

Welcome to your home away from home, Key to the Esk is lovingly renovated fishing cottage, believed to date back to 1500s with open plan living. The finish is to a high standard and the cottage flows very well and is fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

Key to the Esk Cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, including an air fryer. Relax with a 65" Smart TV in the lounge and a TV in the main bedroom. Outside, unwind in your Master spa hot tub underneath a private Pergola. The secure, fully enclosed garden is perfect for children and dogs. The ground floor contains, kitchen, lounge, main bedroom (with king size bed and SIMBA mattress) and bathroom with free standing bath and a walk in shower.

Step outside and indulge in your own private spa hot tub, conveniently located just off the lounge. The enclosed garden features an astro-turf sunbathing area with sun loungers, perfect for relaxing in the sunshine. The entire outdoor space is fully gated and secure, making it ideal for both children and dogs.

To help you settle in, we provide a dishwasher tablet, washing machine pod, cleaning cloth, and tea towel on arrival. You'll also usually find a selection of kitchen basics such as cooking oil, salt, pepper, and sugar. If you would like to enjoy the cosy log burner, please remember to bring your own logs.

Guests will be able to access the whole property and come and go as they please. Access to the keys is via Key Safe.

The River Esk runs at the back of the property, fantastic walks can be had along the river and surrounding countryside.
This is an ideal honeymoon destination as the world-famous Blacksmiths Shop and Scottish wedding venue at Gretna Green is only 3 miles away with fantastic shopping at the Gretna retail outlet. Key to the Esk is situated in lovely countryside nestled between the Lake District and Northumberland National Parks, and is also only a few miles from the Solway Coast in Dumfries and Galloway and the Scottish Borders and Hadrian’s Wall. It couldn’t be easier to explore Scotland and England. After a day exploring the countryside, what better than to return to your tranquil retreat and sit under the pergola or relax in the hot tub.
