Local History books date Highgate cottage dating back to the 1600s. It was believed to have been once owned by the Hetherington family of the renowned border reivers. The wooden beams which run horizontal to the property are still the original features, as is part of the A frame in the lounge.

The modern kitchen comes complete with all the essentials, including an air fryer, making it easy to prepare meals during your visit. Unwind in the lounge with the 65" Smart TV, and enjoy additional Smart TVs in both bedrooms for your entertainment.

Step outside and indulge in your own private spa hot tub under a louvered Pergol, conveniently located just off the lounge. The enclosed garden features an astro-turf sunbathing area with sun loungers, perfect for relaxing in the sunshine. The entire outdoor space is fully gated and secure, making it ideal for both children and dogs.

To help you settle in, we provide a dishwasher tablet, washing machine pod, cleaning cloth, and tea towel on arrival. You'll also usually find a selection of kitchen basics such as cooking oil, salt, pepper, and sugar. If you would like to enjoy the cosy log burner, please remember to bring your own logs.

You can access the property via the key safe outside the front door. Access details will be sent 3 days prior to your stay.

We don't live in the immediate area but we are on hand via call or text should you need us.

We are a property aimed at families for relaxation and do not allow parties of any sort.

We do not allow un authorised guests. Anybody staying or visiting the property needs to be on the booking for insurance reasons.
